The Yoga Studio offers yoga styles for everyone. Our highly-trained and experienced teacher faculty leads our drop-in class programs, pre-registered classes, and private sessions. The Yoga Studio at The Yorkville Club primarily offers two different types of Yoga:

The chart below gives you a basic explanation of the different types of drop-in classes we have to offer. Classical Yoga has many modern forms.
 
ASHTANGA YOGA
Also known as 'POWER or FLOW YOGA'. A vigorous yoga that connects a rapid sequence of postures with breath awareness. Builds strength, flexibility and endurance.

HATHA YOGA
Hatha is the classical approach to yoga that emphasizes physical detail, mental focus and breath awareness. It energizes and tones and is practiced at a gentle pace.

KRIPALU YOGA
Kripalu is known as the 'yoga of the heart'. Release layers of stress, pain and unconscious resistance to bring peace and balance into the body. Experience yoga as a meditation in motion.

PILATES
Pilates aligns the skeletal system while stretching and strengthening the muscles. The focus is on strengthening the body's core. Sculpts and tones. A favourite among dancers.

RESTORATIVE YOGA & PILATES
We offer restorative classes in yoga. Restorative employs gentle therapeutic techniques to slowly release tightness. Encourages mobility and flexibility. Excellent for fatigue, neck and back pain, fibromyalgia and carpal tunnel syndrome, among others.

NIA
Nia mixes an invigorating cardio workout with global dance forms, martial arts, yoga, and creative movement.

HOT YOGA
Invigorate and detoxify your body by practicing Yoga in a heated room. Please bring a towel and water to rehydrate.
